Welcome to The Soft Rebellion Podcast.
What becomes possible when we listen to the womb, pelvis and menstrual cycle as archives of unacknowledged creativity, and even compasses pointing us towards feminist and decolonial futures?
My name is Flurina, I’m an osteopath, holistic pelvic care practitioner and dancer doing a PhD on the moving body, imagination, health and the menstrual cycle (this week anyway).
The Soft Rebellion is my playground - a research-led podcast, where my guests join me for an embodied (re)discovery of the cyclical body as a source of healing, belonging and activism.
These trailblazing conversations are rooted in Black feminist theory, creative and healing arts, indigenous wisdom and critical menstrual studies, to expand beyond a medical, pathologising, wellbeing framework into an understanding of the menstruating body as a wellspring of softly rebellious knowledge.
With the Soft Rebellion Podcast I am aligning to an existing momentum which has found a new language through me and I invite you to align with that momentum too and find your own way with it.
I would love to hear from you, what does the term soft rebellion mean to you, what is your personal soft rebellion and what are you rebelling for?
How has your body guided you to live your calling and to meet your soft rebellion?
